Hard Luck to our school hurling team who reached the semi-final of the Cumann na mBunscol hurling competition and were beaten by Tullow B.N.S.. They had beaten Ballon, Bishop Foley and the Gaelscoil to top their group and reach the semi-final stage. Well done boys, we are very proud of you!

Well done to our 6th class pupils who took part in the @faischools 5-a-side tournament in Tullow today. Both teams played extremely well and were unlucky not to progress to the finals.

Leinster Schools Tennis Semi-Finalists

Hard Luck to Michael and Matthew Durojaiye and John Phiri who were beaten in a hard fought Leinster schools tennis semi-final in Carlow Tennis Club. They entered the competition as part of a combined Askea/ Bishop Foley tennis team. We are very proud of them for getting so far. Well done boys!

We are lucky to be able to use the fantastic facilities of St. Laurence O’Toole’s Athletics Club to teach the Athletics strand of P.E. Here are some pictures of Room 6 and Room 7 enjoying their lesson with their teachers today.

Spikeball Regional Finals.

Yesterday our spikeball team made the trip to Dublin to take part in the Regional Spikeball Finals. We played so well, winning 4 out of 6 of our group games. This earned us a place in the semi finals with the winners of both semi finals progressing to the All Ireland Finals. Unfortunately the semi final result didn’t go our way. Well done to all who took part in Spikeball this year, to earn a place in the Regional Semi Final was a fantastic achievement!
